About Me

From as early as I can remember I always suffered from extreme anxiety and it stopped me from doing so many things throughout my life. I was afraid of judgement and ridicule, afraid of not being liked and afraid of not being good enough for just about anything. My heart would beat outside my chest, my hands would shake visibly and I would also stammer so generally I'd stay quiet and wouldn't say anything. 

I tried many things to overcome this or even just to deal with it, including lots of different talking therapies and medications and then one day, finally, I tried hypnotherapy. I was actually offered it a few years prior to when I did but I immediately turned it down because I didn't want anyone poking around in my brain. What if I told them all of my secrets? What if they discovered something I didn't know about? Was it even safe? There were a lot of 'what if's'. My only experience of hypnosis at that time was watching Paul McKenna's stage show in the 90's.

But in the end I gave it a go and it changed my life. Not only did it dramatically reduce my anxiety in all situations, reduce my fears and increase my confidence, self-esteem and self-worth, but it made me want to completely change my career and help others by using this marvellous modality that helped me so much.

So then I became a Certified Hypnotherapist, an NLP Practitioner and later on a certified Breath Coach. All three are wonderful therapies that can quite quickly help to turn lives around, to remove limitations and change mindsets for the better all in a much reduced timeframe when compared to more traditional talking therapies.

I would recommend to anyone to find out if these modalities can help, as I can truly say having hypnotherapy was the best decision I ever made and contrary to what I believed when it was first offered to me, it really can't do anything to hurt you and you definitely won't divulge anything you don't want to. 

Interestingly my first hypnotherapy teacher turned out to be Paul McKenna, that guy from the 90's who has since done so much to help so many people using the power of hypnotherapy and NLP. He's definitely worth a Google if you don't know about him and so now I also want to help as many people as I can remove their limitations and start living the kind of life they deserve without the negative beliefs, obstacles and blocks that hold so many of us back.

I'm absolutely fascinated by the way the mind works, how our thoughts are structured and how these create our situations and behaviours. We really do have all we need inside us to live a truly wonderful life but when we get stressed and experience negative situations and traumatic/emotional events, these tend to get stored in our unconscious mind and then inform how we live our life. 

Using hypnotherapy and NLP we can change or recode how these situations and events effect us. We can change our thoughts and the way we feel about past memories and by framing them differently, we are able to change our mindset and behaviours to better, more positive ones instead. Believe it or not we really are in charge of our own thoughts; the problem is we've just never been taught how to do this properly and once we change the negative driver behind the thought, the structure of how its held in the mind it can no longer hold the power it once did. It really is a matter of changing your thoughts to change your life but importantly hypnotherapy and NLP are the tools that allow you to do it successfully.

Quantum Healing is a modality I came to more recently and love how powerful and impactful it is. I have seen aches and pains greatly reduce in just one session and disappear completely in only a few. It works with life-force energy and channels it to wherever a person might need it, helping to reset, rebalance and realign the flow of energy where it may have been lacking before.  

I really do enjoy talking about these tools and I could go on forever about how impactful they are but honestly nothing beats being able to help someone get over a limitation they've had a lifelong struggle with. It's something I really love to do and I intend to carry on helping people as much as I can for as long as possible.
